The HEXOS program encompasses a number of observations that use the HIFI and PACS instruments. To obtain the unique data the Herschel telescope will point towards HEXOS sources and collect photons of light. These data are then transmitted to the Earth for members of the HEXOS team to analyze. For organizational purposes these observations are grouped in a series of sub-programs that are associated with specific sources and science goals.
